Effect of Interferential Therapy and Kegel Exercise in Management of Stress Urinary Incontinence-A Comparative Study

Introduction: Urinary incontinence is a common problem with widespread human and social implication causing discomfort, shame and loss of self-confidence. It not only affects the quality of life but also has significant cost complications. Aim of the Study: To find out the effectiveness of kegel exercise, interferential therapy and transverse abdominis strengthening in treating patients having stress urinary incontinence. Methodology: A total of 50 subjects having stress urinary incontinence at least 6-month duration were recruited randomly. Group 1 experimental group was treated with kegel exercise, interferential therapy and transverse abdominis strengthening and Group 2 conventional group was treated with kegel exercise and transverse abdominis strengthening for five days/week for 4 weeks. Chronic Endometritis: Prevalence-using Hysteroscopy and Cd138 Immunohistochemistry- and Impact on Reproductive Outcome in Patients with Previous IVF/ICSI Failure

Abstract Background: A healthy receptive endometrium is essential for embryo implantation. Recently, the relationship between chronic endometritis (CE) and infertility-related conditions such as previous implantation failure has emerged as an area of inquiry. Objective: To evaluate the prevalence of CE in women with previous IVF/ICSI failure using hysteroscopy and CD138 immunohistochemistry and to determine whether subsequent antibiotic treatment positively impacts outcome in these cases. Design: prospective cohort study. Setting: El-Shat by Maternity University Hospital. Materials and methods: 145 women with history of previous IVF/ICSI failure underwent hysteroscopy and endometrial sampling for CD138 immunohistochemistry detection. Patients were placed in two groups based on presence or absence of CE (group 1 and 2 respectively). By Carugno Jose* in Investigations in Gynecology Research & Womens Health Permanent sterilization is the second most common contraceptive method used by women in the United States [1]. In 2002, a hysteroscopic permanent sterilization option was made available: The Essure® System. It consists of a set of 2 coil designated to induce fallopian tube fibrosis and subsequent tubal occlusion. Three months after placement, the tubal occlusion is confirmed with a hysterosalpingogram which will then ensuretubal blockage [2]. The coils could be inserted in an office setting with no anesthesia or only minor sedation, providing a safe alternative avoiding the need for surgical intervention. The disease, its diagnosis and treatment impose considerable negative physical and psychosocial effects on the patients and severely threaten their quality of life. Surgical treatment with different types is the most used option for breast cancer treatment. In this mini-review we briefly reviewed the effects of different surgery types on the breast cancer patients’ quality of life.
